Yes! You Can Import Imager Names and Addresses to ExcelŽ

February 2004

Many clients using our legacy Imager II product have been frustrated when trying to export customer marketing selections to a format that can be easily used to create labels, merge files, or exports for their mailing houses. While the Imager product was initially designed to support the then popular Word Perfect®, there is a way to use the powerful data mining selectivity to create files that can be used by the current industry standards.

After making your selections and creating a Customer Marketing Merge file, you can import your customer names and addresses into Excel® as a standard text file. This file can then be used to create labels, envelopes or merged letters using Microsoft Word®. You can also create files that your mailing house or printer can easily interpret for mailers.

The process is fairly easy and entails a simple edit using either Notepad or Word®, and the inherent import capability of Excel®.

To learn how to create this file, simply contact us for a document detailing the procedures, or see one of the following articles:

A special thanks goes to Eric Stone at Daffodils for helping us identify and document the procedures to perform this function that has stumped many of us for far too long. Thanks Eric!
