Michael F. Sapera, CPA is a 1981 graduate of the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Louisiana Society of CPAs (LCPA), the Institute of Management Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Michael has many years of experience in the private sector in industries from banking to computer systems and retail chain management. Personally, Michael has been married to his wife, Rebecca, for twenty-four years and they have two daughters, Amanda and Jessica. As with any family, most of his "free" time is consumed with family activities like school, soccer and basketball games. He still finds time to support his favorite local athletic teams, and every now and then indulges his real passions in life: traveling and playing golf - poorly!

Michael firmly believes that everyone should give back to their community in whatever capacity they are able to. To that end, he has served for more than 10 years as Treasurer of the Heritage Heights Homeowners Association and is President of the University of New Orleans Privateer Athletic Foundation.
