Merchant Plus! is designed to help a merchant better leverage inventory across stores to prevent lost sales and increase stock turn rates, cash flow and margins. From analysis to operations, distribution tools are provided to help properly balance, affect and control the initial distribution of inventory. These same easy to use tools also provide for the efficient transfer of merchandise between stores for both customer sales requests and merchant initiated consolidations for improved stock balancing. The same Merchant Plus! tools are used to distribute and check merchandise into stores for initial distributions, store initiated transfers and buyer initiated stock rebalancing. This easy to use program is provided to record vendor receipts: both direct store deliveries or through a distribution location. The same program also records and facilitates transfers both out of and into a store or distribution center. Merchandise can be transferred based on flexible distribution methods and control settings but can be moved simply by scanning documents or individual item barcodes. Packing lists, audit reports, and merchandise tickets may be generated when merchandise is shipped out and/or received into a store. Price changes are not only identified but automatically taken. Flexibility is provided to accommodate multiple distribution methods based on operational or transactional needs. Distribute merchandise any time: Store Distributions of merchandise can be entered and edited at any time: as Purchase Orders are entered, anytime before the merchandise is received, as it is received, or after it is received. Of course, merchandise can also be transferred between stores at any time based on customer demands as well as to rebalance inventory for merchandising purposes. Operational Flexibility: Merchandise can be ordered and received for a single store, to a distribution center and distributed as part of or subsequent to receiving, or pre-distributed for drop shipment directly to each store. Distribution can be made from distinct locations, as part of a store, or through a warehouse. Multiple distribution locations can be used and different options can be used for each shipment. Control and Automation Flexibility: The distribution process can be setup between optimal automation and optimal controls. Distributions and packing lists can be created for each transfer and/or receipt or a single distribution packing list can be created for all sources for each shipment. Transfers can be distributed based on a Transfer Directive requested by a store or buyer or can simply be recorded by scanning the merchandise. Optionally, all distributions can be confirmed by the receiving store by simply scanning a barcode on each distribution packing slip. |
