Standard VGA Video All computers come with a VGA video port. It is used to attached a VGA monitor. On Windows XP Professional (and Windows ME) you can actually have two video ports and support two monitors and split your open applications across two monitors. This capability is not provided with XP Home Edition. This is not the same kind of interface used for old ASCII/Dumb terminals such as the WYSE 60, Data General, or IBM 3151 terminals. Furthermore, flat panels usually have different connectors that require different controllers and ports. |
