With the Merchant Plus! interface, daily sales transactions can update ShopperTrak© to combine sales, labor data and traffic counts for analytical purposes. Conversion rates can be monitored, the response rates and times of promotional events can be evaluated, and of course, staffing can be better scheduled to meet demand. Store performance can be compared to like retailers to better understand the conditions of any store or location.
In essence, a summary of each sale is exported and transferred to the ShopperTrak server where it is combined with data from their traffic counting solutions. Optionally, labor data can also be updated to add the ability to evaluate scheduling efficiency. The process can be automated for nightly updates or manually run to process any date range (for example, if an audit requires the correction of previously submitted sales).
